Murray, KY – Incumbent state Treasurer Todd Hollenbach has successfully defended his position from Republican K.C. Crosbie. The democrat's victory comes despite being out fund-raised by 2 to 1 and having TV ads run accusing him of failing to balance the state's checkbook. The addition of Libertarian Ken Moellman to the race likely helped Hollenbach edge ahead of Crosbie by splitting voters off the republican's conservative base.
