Carbondale, IL – Southern Illinois University in Carbondale officials and the SIUC Faculty Association have signed off on a tentative contract agreement. Faculty Association spokesman Dave Johnson confirms the two sides signed the tentative deal this week after the union ended its week-long strike Nov. 9. He says the union's Departmental Representative Council will discuss the tentative agreement tomorrow. That will be followed by a general meeting to give union members the chance to ask questions on Nov. 28. A vote by all union members is scheduled for Nov. 30.
