Murray, KY – Kentucky drivers get a small break ahead of Thanksgiving this week. Average retail gas prices dropped nearly 9 cents per gallon, bringing the average price to $3.24. Though the drop is a welcome change, prices are 50.8 cents more expensive than one year ago. Gasbuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick Dehaan says recent polls show a 2% increase in Americans who chose not to drive for the Thanksgiving holiday. He adds though the increase is noticeable, few American motorists reduce their holiday driving because of higher gas prices.
