Murray, KY – Kentucky Public Radio has hired cn|2 political reporter Kenny Colston to head up its state government and political coverage out of Frankfort. Colston has worked for Insight Communications' cn|2 network since just after its creation in spring 2010. He reported and provided political analysis on the news website and for the Pure Politics news program each weeknight. During his tenure, Colston reported on the 2010 and 2011 elections. He served as editor of The Kernel at the University of Kentucky from 2009 to 2010. Colston starts his new position January 2nd, replacing longtime Kentucky Public Radio Frankfort Bureau Chief Tony McVeigh, who left that job in July.
