This changed over Labor Day when the largest sailing re-enactment ever attempted in the U.S. marked the anniversary of a remarkable victory in that war.

Illinois: Illinois transportation officials are announcing a series of meetings to allow public input on the state's long-range transit plan, which runs from for 2015 through 2020. Gov. Pat Quinn claims Illinois has added 80,000 jobs through foreign firms since he took office, but some economists say he can't take all the credit.
