The Murray Art Guild offers a group drumming class this Saturday morning at 10. The hour-long drop-in class requires no previous experience, and instruments are provided.
The Murray State University Women’s Center hosts a performance of Eve Ensler’s award-winning play “The Vagina Monologues” tonight at 7 in Lovett Auditorium. The series of monologues is based on the stories of hundreds of women interviewed by the author and explores themes of women’s rights, empowerment, and respect. Admission proceeds benefit The Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center.
Actor Obadiah Ewing-Roush presents a program on John G. Fee tonight at 7 in the McCracken County Public Library second floor meeting room. Fee was the son of a slave-holding father who became active in anti-slavery efforts. His work led to the founding of Union Church of Christ, an anti-slavery non-denominational church that planted the seeds for what would become Berea College. The performance is free and open to the public.
