Governor Matt Bevin announced today the appointment of Stephen Miller as commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Medicaid.
Bevin said it’s important to have someone with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry leading the program as he works to transition it to “a more affordable, sustainable model.”
A CPA by trade, Miller has more than 20 years experience as Vice President of Finance with the Kentucky Hospital Association. In this role, he interacted with Medicaid and Cabinet members on issues related to federal and state hospital reimbursement and regulations.
