Pennyrile District Health Department director Allison Beshear is leaving at the end of April.
She says she wants to stay home with her two young daughters. Beshear has served in the public health sector for 13 years, and as PDHD director for four years. She says her leaving is not in reaction to Benefind or to Governor Bevin’s proposed budget cuts. The PDHD is a five district department covering Caldwell, Crittenden, Livingston, Trigg and Lyon County. The position has been posted and applications are being accepted through mid-April.
