Clarksville Police charged six men for patronizing prostitution Friday. CPD conducted a sting targeting the sexual activity on the classified ad website backpage.com

John Santos, Anthony Ashford, Kyle Stallworth, Stephen Mock, Richard Ginnetto and Gavin Phillips were arrested and charged. CPD said the focus of the sting was to reduce this type of activity and to prevent assaults and robberies against solicitors.

Prostitution is illegal in Tennessee with a wide range of punishments. Patronizing is generally a Class B misdemeanor in Tennessee, punishable of no more than six months in jail and a fine no more than $500 dollars.
