Paducah Commissioners Propose Replacing Riverfront Development Authority

City of Paducah, via Facebook

The Paducah Board of Commissioners has introduced an ordinance to abolish the Paducah Riverfront Development Authority.

The board discussed its plans to replace the Authority with a five-member Paducah Riverfront Advisory Board during Tuesday night’s meeting. The new changes would place the functions and programs of the former PRDA with the Planning Department. The Board would assist with the review of development proposals for city-owned properties along the riverfront, develop a tax increment financing district and implement strategies for the Renaissance Area Master Plan. Voting for the new changes will be held on January 24.
