Governor Matt Bevin has ordered flags at all state office buildings lowered to half-staff tomorrow on Tuesday, June 20 in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier who died in Afghanistan earlier this month.
According to the Department of Defense, 25-year old Sergeant Eric Houck died of gunshot wounds sustained while supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel in the Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan. Services for Houck is Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.
The services for Sergeant Will Bays and Corporal Dillon Baldridge, the two other Fort Campbell soldiers who were killed, have not yet be announced.
