A popular destination in west Kentucky partially destroyed by a fire this week is offering a look at the damage.
Patti’s 1880’s Settlement in Grand Rivers posted a video on Facebook walking through the restaurant area where the fire broke out Monday morning.
A fire that started in the ceiling above the kitchen area caused major damage to upstairs offices and the kitchen. The video shows the burnt remains of the kitchen, aerial footage of the severely damaged roof and water and smoke damage in other areas.
In the video, Marketing Director Ann Martin addressed the more than 200 employees that work at the restaurant.
“We really need you, there’s a lot of work to be done. Payroll will continue and we’ll gather together and build Patti’s back better than ever. And we’ll do it as a team,” she said.
Martin also thanked first responders.
Co-owner Mike Grimes said they don’t expect to have the restaurant open before July.
Grand Rivers officials said Patti’s 1880’s Settlement attracts around 350,000 people each year.
