Kentucky-Illinois Bridge Inspections Planned

Kentucky and Illinois transportation officials will conduct joint walk-through inspections of four area bridges this week, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is asking drivers to watch out for inspectors on the bridges. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports officials plan to look at the U.S. 51, U.S. 60 and U.S. 62 Bridge over the Ohio River between Wickliffe, Ky., and Cairo, Ill., Wednesday morning and the Interstate 24 Bridge between Paducah and Metropolis, Ill., Wednesday afternoon. They will inspect the U.S. 45 Irvin Cobb Bridge between Paducah and Brookport, Ill., Thursday morning and the Kentucky 56-Illinois Route 13 Bridge at Old Shawneetown, Ill., Thursday afternoon.
