‘March For Our Lives’ in West Kentucky to Coincide with National Rally

Individuals in west Kentucky are organizing local “March For Our Lives” demonstrations next month.

The marches are in solidarity with the national campaign advocating for stricter gun regulations to end gun violence and mass shootings in schools.

Students from the Florida high school where a mass shooting occurred last week are planning a national rally on March 24 in Washington D.C. More about this, here.

Shannon Dowd Jacobs is organizing a march in Murray. She says she felt exasperated after the shooting last month at nearby Marshall County High School.

“When are we going to do something? How many lives are going to get lost? How long are we going to continue to live in this way?" She said.

Similar marches are being organized in west Kentucky, including Marshall County and Owensboro.
