Paducah Main Street Regains National Accreditation

Paducah Main Street

Paducah Main Street has regained its national accreditation following a downgrade last year.

The Kentucky Heritage Council issues the credentials through Kentucky Main Street. Local Main Street organizations must meet outlined requirements on ten performance standards including broad-based community support for commercial district revitalization, a relevant mission statement and comprehensive work plan, a paid professional program manager, an adequate operating budget, and commitment to reporting key statistics. Local Main Street organizations must score a 7 or above for all performance standards to maintain accreditation.

Paducah Main Street lost its accreditation amidst a transition to city control and a complete staff turnover.
