Steve Krueger In Seattle Reports On The First Game Of The 1996 Baseball Season.

In an exciting beginning to the season, the Mariners needed extra innings to beat the Chicago White Sox, and their star, Frank Thomas. Thomas connected on a two-run home run in the first inning, but after that, Seattle's own star, ace pitcher Randy Johnson settled in and struck out 14 White Sox batters.
