NPR's Anne Garrels reports from Moscow that Russian troops are locked in battle in Chechnya for a third day. Gunships and jets have been firing on rebel positions inside the capital of Grozny ((GROHZ-nee)). The casualties are said to run into the hundreds. The fighting and heavy casualities will cast a shadow on tomorrow's inauguration ceremony for Russian President Boris Yeltsin.
