A federal judge today blocked the enforcement of California's Proposition 209, the initiative which was enacted to dismantle state-sponsored affirmative action programs. The judge issued a temporary restraining order against the implementation of the initiative at least until December 16th, when another hearing is scheduled. NPR's Ina Jaffe reports.
