- Two of America's biggest corporations -- Avis Rent-A-Car and Nissan -- are moving to terminate ties with franchise owners that have discriminated against blacks. NPR's Adam Hochberg reports that the moves suggest a growing corporate sensitivity toward discrimination issues in the wake of revelations last month that Texaco Corporation engaged in a pattern of racial discrimination.
