A year ago, AIDS patient Jeff Getty received a bone marrow transplant from a baboon, making him the first person to undergo the trans-species operation. Rachel Gottbaum of member station KQED reports that Getty is healthier today, but researchers don't exactly know why since the baboon cells failed to establish themselves in Getty's body.
