Superbowl Ads

NPR's Elaine Korry reports that advertising rates for the Super Bowl broadcast this Sunday will be higher than ever --$1.2 million for 30 seconds of airtime. Far from being just a football championship, the Super Bowl has become the most important advertising event of the year...and dozens of companies are pulling out all the stops in order to leave an impression with a hard-to-impress audience estimated at 100 million.
