NPR's Edward Lifson reports on the most recent unemployment rates in Germany. Unemployment has reached levels not seen since since the depression more than 60 years ago. Analysts blame the rise on an unusually cold weather, a change in the employment practices and the continuing challenge of integrating the economies of the former East and West Germany.
