A piece of road is on the road from Oklahoma to Washington D.C. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has donated part of the original Route 66 -- which once stretched from Chicago to Los Angeles -- to the Smithsonian Institution. The chunk of highway -- which is still in excellent condition -- will appear in an exhibit at the National Museum of American History.
