Frankfort, KY – This past week, Kentucky state senators began their evaluation of the House-passed budget bill. The 17 and a half billion dollar, two-year budget is expected to undergo significant changes before the Senate approves it. With a little over a week left in the regular session, the legislature's main concern is plugging a more than one billion dollar shortfall. Earlier this week, Angela Hatton spoke with 1st District Senator Ken Winters of Murray about his take on the Senate's budget process.
