Louisville, KY – E-ON, the parent company for Kentucky Utilities and Louisville Gas and Electric, has launched an online outage map. Spokesman Cliff Feltham says the wind storm and ice storm in recent years highlighted the importance of communicating with customers.
"It was the desire by us to feed information to customers and on the other side for customers to get information from us about where the outages are, how many people are affected by the outage, and really what are progress is toward restoration."
The online map features nearly real-time status updates of all the power outage situations in the LG & E and KU service territories. KU serves customers in 93 counties, including areas in the Purchase and Pennyrile.
