Hidden History of Kentucky in the Civil War

Paducah, KY – Kentucky may not have seen the likes of a Gettysburg or a Chancellorsville during the American Civil War, but that doesn't mean it was any less central in that conflict. After all, as Hodgenville native Abraham Lincoln said, "As Kentucky goes, so goes the Union." WKCTC history professor Berry Craig's new book, Hidden History of Kentucky in the Civil War, considers the surprising people and places that made up the Commonwealth's part in that war. Todd Hatton spoke with Craig about some of the other surprises in, and about, his book.
