Louisville, Ky – Getting to Churchill Downs on the first Saturday in May is an effort three years in the making. The winners of the Kentucky Derby the horse, the trainer, and the farm will be forever cemented in history. But as Kentucky Public Radio's Brenna Angel reports, for the vast majority of other contenders, the Kentucky Derby is a dream that doesn't come true.
