Paducah, KY – Paducah's First Baptist Church will host a disaster preparedness conference August 30th and 31st. The American Red Cross and the University of Illinois Extension Service are conference sponsors.
The conference will help residents, business leaders, church members and elected officials from Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Arkansas and Tennessee plan natural disaster emergency responses. Topics will include failed phone systems, electricity outages, flooding, ice storms and earthquakes.
