Paducah, KY – Last weekend's Fancy Farm Picnic unofficially kicked off Kentucky's general election season, and there are at least two races in our area attracting attention. One is the U-S Senate race to replace retiring Senator Jim Bunning, and the other is the 2nd District's State Senate race, where independent Bob Leeper of Paducah is facing a significant challenge from Democrat Rex Smith. The outcome of that race could affect the balance of power in Kentucky's upper house.
