Paducah Symphony Orchestra set to debut new season

Paducah, KY – David Halen, Violinist and Concertmaster of the Saint Louis Symphony, offers a Master Class this afternoon at 4 on stage at the Carson Center of Paducah. And Mr. Halen is on stage there again tomorrow evening at 7:30 -- as guest artist with the Paducah Symphony Orchestra in its season opening concert, Magnificent! Rafaelle Ponti conducts. It's the ebullient Mr. Ponti's debut as artistic director of the Orchestra. Kate Lochte speaks with the Symphony's executive director Darlene Dryer and the President of the Symphony's Board of Directors, Jeff Steiner.

The Paducah Symphony Orchestra performs tomorrow night at 7:30 in the beautiful Carson Center. There's a pre-concert chat at 7. Call 270-444-0065 for tickets. The program includes Bernstein's Candide Overture, Bruch's Violin Concerto, Number 1, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony Number 5.
