Murray, KY – Richard Buckner has been defying musical genres since he released his debut album Bloomed in 1994. Buckner's music contains elements of alt-country, folk, and Americana. His rich baritone and introspective songwriting have earned him critical acclaim and cult status among his fans. Buckner performs this Saturday, September 18 at 8 pm in Lovett Auditorium as part of MSU's Lovett Live onstage concert series. Beyond The Edge host Tracy Ross recently spoke with Buckner about his unique approach to songwriting and his changing attitude toward live performance.
