Murray, Ky. – In Depression-era Alabama, attorney Atticus Finch is appointed by the court to defend Tom Robinson, an African-American man accused of rape. In the 50 years since its publication, Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird has been called a story of dignity and tolerance. Friday, Murray's Playhouse in the Park opens a stage production of Mockingbird. Director Don Fleming and the young Brynn Jones, who plays the key role of Scout Finch, joined Jacque Day in the studio for this conversation.

To Kill a Mockingbird opens Friday at Playhouse in the Park. It runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through November 7.
