Metropolis, IL – Metropolis, Illinois is home not only to the Superman statue, a fifteen foot high replica of the Man of Steel; it's also the location of one of the largest collection of Superman memorabilia. The Super Museum contains over 20,000 items related to the character, from comic books, to movie costumes, and set pieces. Jim Hambrick is owner and curator of the museum. Hambrick has been collecting Superman items since 1959, and boasts more than 100,000 pieces in his personal collection. Angela Hatton spoke with Hambrick about Metropolis and the Superman legacy.
