Benton, KY – The first Monday of every April is known to the residents of Benton, Kentucky, as Tater Day. The local holiday started 168 years ago as a day for agricultural trading, but faded as the years went by. Today it has a parade, beauty pageant, cookoff, and carnival. Long time Kiwanis Club member, Robert McCrory, spoke with Rose Krzton-Presson about how he helped to revive Tater Day over fifty years ago and what it's been like since then.
