Paducah, KY – The Paducah Symphony Orchestra board has narrowed its search for a new director to four candidates. Board president Jeff Steiner says says one candidate is local, and three are external. He says the first candidate visited Paducah for a three-day onsite interview last week. Steiner says the board hopes to give each candidate the same amount of attention, with the next candidate coming in for an onsite interview next week. Steiner says the candidates have very different backgrounds and experiences, but the board is impressed with all of them. The PSO board hopes to announce the next director within a month. Former director Darlene Dreyer left at the end of May to pursue other career options.
