Murray, KY – Five state parks in the Commonwealth began selling alcohol last month. Visitors can now have a drink with dinner, serve alcohol and special events, and drink beer on the golf course. The move comes under the guidance of Parks Commissioner Gerry Van Der Meer. Gary Pitts speaks with him about the move, why alcohol sales began, and what the initial response has been.

Gerry Van Der Meer is Commissioner of Kentucky's Department of Parks.
