Hazel, KY – Nearly all of us are at some point inspired by movies. Holiday movies might inspire gift ideas, or trips and some holiday favorites inspire decor. And there may be no better example of taking Christmas decor to the max than Christmas Vacation's Clark Griswold.

Many recall the sheer blinding light produced by the Griswold family, but here in far Western Kentucky, at least one family has taken the Griswolds idea and kicked it up a notch. John who goes by "Scooter" and Barbara Paschall of Hazel, Kentucky put on an ever growing display of Christmas lights that dance to music. Thousands of people travel to the small town to see the tens of thousands of lights on display. This year, an announcement from the Paschall's that the show would be cancelled prompted a flood of calls, e-mails and visitors urging them to put on the show back on. So, in a late rally, Scooter has put a show together a show featuring some 15 thousand lights that use a series of computer programs to synchronize the light flashes to music. Gary Pitts went to see the Paschall Magical Christmas and talk with Scooter about the show.
