Murray, KY – As of 2009, Liberia's literacy rate sat below 60 percent. The country's education system has been severely affected by the devastation of two civil wars and widespread poverty. On the outskirts of Liberia's capital city of Monrovia is the community of Congo Town. It is home to a new school, Jones Christian Academy-East.
