Paducah, KY – When legendary actor/director Sir Laurence Olivier cast Marilyn Monroe to star opposite him in The Prince and the Showgirl, many thought it was an almost comic mis-match between the respected actor and the Hollywood sex symbol. But however simple Marilyn's onscreen persona was, away from the lights and cameras she was a complex, vulnerable human being. That tension is the subject of the film Larry Thomas and Todd Hatton take a look at today, 2011's award-winning My Week with Marilyn, playing this weekend at Maiden Alley Cinema in Paducah.
