Dr. Therese St. Paul recently stopped by Sounds Good to discuss with Todd Hatton the February offerings of Murray State University's Cinema International film series.
This week's featured film will be the 2017 documentary "Whose Streets?," which chronicles the shooting of 18-year-old Mike Brown and the ensuing riots in Ferguson, MO. St. Paul said showings of the film will include shareback sessions afterwards, and the Saturday session will conclude with a panel discussion featuring MSU professors Dr. Tim Johns and Dr. Jared Rosenberger, as well as a representative from multicultural affairs.
Other films to be shown during February are China's "The King of Masks," Germany's "North Face" and the 1974 American comedy "Young Frankenstein."
Cinema International films are shown Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30. More information on the film series can be found online at murraystate.edu/cinemainternational.
