MACCO Organiques Moving Into Vacant Paducah Building

The Greater Paducah Economic Development Corporation will oversee renovations to a vacant Spec building after a vote by the Paducah City Commission.

MACCO Organiques will utilize the city-county owned building that has been empty  for nearly 10 years in the I-24 Logistics Park.

Paducah City Manager Jeff Pederson says this has been a long time coming.

“We are pleased to be entering into the construction phase. That building was essentially a shell and need to be built out,” Pederson added. “I believe that MACCO intends to expand upon the footprint of the building from the onset.”

Paducah Chamber of Commerce president and city commissioner Sandra Wilson says this is a fortunate opportunity for the city.

“We believe it will attract other types of industry like that here,” she said. “The Spec building  unfortunately had been sitting there for several years. But, to have it sold or to have it with a new company in there is a great thing.”

Pederson said the city and county will provide $1.25 million each for renovations. MACCO will employ 40 people.
