murray-calloway county chamber of commerce

The President and CEO of Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce is leaving the post at the end of November.

Aaron Dail said in a Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday that he has accepted a position with Community Financial Services Bank (CFSB) in Murray.

Dail has served as President/CEO of the local Chamber for more than four years. He was named Chamber Executive of the Year in 2016.

Board Chair Mike Hopkins said in a release that under Dail's leadership, the local Chamber became the second largest in the Purchase Area and ninth largest in the state, created the GO LOCAL and Young Professionals of Murray programs, engaged in state and local advocacy and led the 2015 "Business Friendliness Initiative."

The Board named Director of Membership Development Michelle Bundren as interim President/CEO to begin on December 1.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
