This drama portrays two decades in the life of Héctor Abad Gómez, a doctor, human rights activist, and politician whose fight for public health and poverty reduction in Colombia strains his relationship with his family and earns him dangerous enemies. Told from the perspective of Abad Gómez’s son, who in real life wrote the bestselling semiautobiographical novel on which the movie is based. Presented as part of the Spanish Film Club series with the support of Pragda and the Secretary of State for Culture of Spain.
