Discovery Park of America Astronomy Night: A Collection of Constellations

Discovery Park of America Astronomy Night: A Collection of Constellations

Join Dr. Lionel Crews from the University of Tennessee at Martin Astronomy Department and the Discovery Park education team on Saturday, June 28, for the fourth informative Astronomy Night of the year. This month’s event is the rescheduled one from February and will be located in the Discovery Theater from 6-8 p.m.

Do you know how to find the North Star, The Big Dipper or Orion’s Belt? How about constellations like Leo, Gemini or Capricorn? How many constellations are there? What are the most unusual? Join us in the Discovery Theater for answers to these questions and more. The activity for the evening will be constellation string art.

PASSPORT TO THE UNIVERSE

This is the fourth of eight Astronomy Night programs in 2025. Anyone who attends five or more of these events in the calendar year and completes our special training will receive a unique patch to commemorate the year’s astronomical events.

If you have already joined the passport program, don’t forget to bring your passports for this month’s stamp.
