Homeplace 1850s Working Farm's Wild and Wooly Sheep Shearing
After a long year of growing their wool to keep warm in the winter, our sheep are ready for a haircut. Gary Lawson, a professional sheep shearer, will be here to demonstrate the age-old skill of hand shearing. Come by and see our sheep in their new haircuts for the warmer months to come! We will also be demonstrating different tasks to take wool to usable yarn. Great spring day to learn a lot about wool.
