McLib Evenings Upstairs Series presents Iconic Paducah Businesses

McLib Evenings Upstairs Series presents Iconic Paducah Businesses

Come join us in a journey to the past as we explore four iconic businesses which had and still have a big impact on Paducah: Cohen’s, Kirchhoff’s, Finkel’s and Hank Brothers. These buildings still grace the “skyline” of Paducah. These four businesses contributed to over 370 years of Paducah’s history, with some still in business! Many Paducahans will have fond memories of these businesses perhaps when as youths. Learn about the background and backstories of these enterprises and maybe even learn about some “ghosts” from Paducah’s past in some of them.

Roy Hensel is an avid history lover. He has served as a board member of the McCracken County Library, the Market House Museum, and with the Paducah Ambassadors. He gives tours of Oak Grove Cemetery and city tours for the passengers of the steamboats which frequent the riverfront.
