MSU Naturalization Ceremony

MSU Naturalization Ceremony

The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will welcome 41 new citizens from 20 different countries on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at a naturalization ceremony hosted by Murray State University at Wrather Hall at 10 am.

Opening in 1924, Wrather Hall was the University's first permanent building, and it carries great historical significance. It is also the home to the Wrather West Kentucky Museum, which promotes an understanding of the social, cultural, and economic development of west Kentucky and the Jackson Purchase.

United States Bankruptcy Court Judge Alan C. Stout will preside over the ceremony and administer the Oath of Allegiance. MSU President Dr. Ron K. Patterson will be the event's guest speaker. MSU Police Captain Michael D'Elia will perform the national anthem.

Contact Mindy Sunderland, Chief Deputy Clerk, US District Court, Western District of KY at 502-625-3518 with any questions.
