A self-taught artist and cabinet maker from Fulton, Kentucky, Henderson was an artist with a disability whose paintings and carved birds of the southern United States won accolades and fans among art collectors and others.
A launch party for this exhibit will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. with a short program discussing Henderson’s art with Discovery Park senior director of exhibits and collections, Jennifer Wildes. This event is FREE for all guests. Light refreshments will be served.

Their divorced daughter drops off the teenage son of the man she is dating for the summer. What follows is a heartwarming, hilarious show about generations of a family learning to communicate and care.

All of us here at HSMC are honored and excited to announce that the Marshall County High School Art, Culinary and RISE students will be hosting an adoption event at our facility! The students will also be donating homemade dog and cat treats, as well as handmade food and water bowls. Attendees of the event will be able to make a donation to the Humane Society in order to take these items home for their fur babies to enjoy!
Be sure to bring your pets for a photo shoot in the MCHS art students' Pet Photo Booth!!
And last - but certainly NOT least! - these students have worked hard to put together lots of great information for you on pet care education and available resources.

Water of Life 2024 is upon us, where downtown Paducah celebrates all things Kentucky in anticipation of the 150th Running of the Roses - the Kentucky Derby.
More details to follow within the week. But expect a Saturday filled with good food, good people, good times and of course - Derby Hats, Roses, Mint Juleps, and good food.
