Science Guy Bill Nye to Debate Creation Museum Founder

Bill Nye.com

MSU’s Presidential Lecturer, Science Guy Bill Nye will debate the founder of Northern Kentucky’sCreation Museum, the day after his speech in Murray.

Nye’s free presentation in Murray is February 3rd at the CFSB center. The following day the Creation Museum hosts the debate between museum founder Ken Ham and the former host of  a popular youth science show.

Nye has been critical of creationists who assert that the Old Testament is a literal account of the earth's beginnings.

Last year in an online video that drew nearly six million views, Nye said teaching creationism was bad for children.   The video prompted a response video from the Creation Museum and Ham later challenged him to a debate.

Chad Lampe, a Poplar Bluff, Missouri native, was raised on radio. He credits his father, a broadcast engineer, for his technical knowledge, and his mother for the gift of gab. At ten years old he broke all bonds of the FCC and built his own one watt pirate radio station. His childhood afternoons were spent playing music and interviewing classmates for all his friends to hear. At fourteen he began working for the local radio stations, until he graduated high school. He earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology at Murray State, and a Masters Degree in Mass Communication. In November, 2011, Chad was named Station Manager in 2016.
