Box Appoints WKCTC Interim President

West Kentucky Community and Technical College has a new interim president and CEO. Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Jay Box has appointed Dr. Charles Chrestman.

Chrestman has more than 40 years experience serving as a senior level administrator and faculty member in community colleges. He recently served as interim president at Big Sandy Community and Technical College.

WKCTC President Dr. Barbara Veazey announced her retirement earlier this year after serving 14 years.

Chrestman begins July 1 and will remain in the roll until a new president is named in early fall.

He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
